Natural Shades is deeply involved in saving house sparrows in urban areas - the team is creating natural habitat by planting trees, encouraging gardening, making bird nests & feeders, water bowls and arranging awareness programs. In year 2024 the team has target to make and distribute 2000 bird nests before breeding season which starts from February. Till now we were managing the raw materials required to make nests & feeders by self-contribution of funds but with the increase in target, it will be difficult to continue without your help. The little sparrow needs little place to live, little food to eat, little water to drink, small nest to breed and some of your love for survival.

The decline of house sparrows in India, as in many other parts of the world, is a matter of concern. Several factors contribute to their decline, including urbanization, habitat loss, no place to breed, air & noise pollution, radiations, and changes in agricultural practices.
· Plant native trees and shrubs that provide food and shelter.
· Maintain green spaces and gardens with diverse vegetation.
· Install bird feeders with seeds suitable for sparrows.
· Educate communities about the importance of sparrows and the threats they face.
· Conduct awareness programs in schools and communities to promote sparrow conservation.
· Place nest boxes or birdhouses in suitable locations to provide safe nesting sites for sparrows.

Hi everyone,
As we go about our daily routines, it's easy to overlook the plight of the homely bird 'Home Sparrow' (गौरैया), the count is decreasing day by day , there is construction of modern buildings, malls, big bazaar, mobile towers, vehicles which create pollution ,modern agriculture etc. all this is being done for ease of our selves but at the same time it is destroying the natural habitat ,forests , plants, fresh air etc. which is required for the sparrow to live.
There is no place for Sparrow to build their nest to breed, food to eat, trees for shelter, water to drink, also the radiation and pollution is impacting the nerves and sensory organs of these birds. Whom should these voiceless creatures call for help!
Natural Shades Trust has been working to help these birds by building natural habitats, planting trees, distributing nests, water bowls and arranging awareness programs, etc. We have a team which is involved in making the birds nests, feeding pots, water bowls, plantation etc. but now there is shortage of material required. Till now we are managing with our contributory funds of members but as our target has increased it will be difficult to continue without your help. Today, we’re reaching out to you to ask for your support in making a positive difference in the lives of these little home sparrows.
They require Food, water, safe place to stay, small nest to breed and some love can go a long way in ensuring these helpless birds to survive. Please donate to support them.
From the month of February onwards, the Sparrow looks for the place to build nest to breed, we have target to make and distribute 1000 nests in 2023
Regards,
Natural Shades
